Kihachi Sugiyama (杉山 喜八 (すぎやま きはち), Sugiyama Kihachi), also known as Pops.

Biography[]
Owner and proprietor of the game bar MOGRA, and the original founder of the Akiba Freedom Fighters. Has a never-ending love for retro games, which is ultimately what led to MOGRA's existence. His shop also doubles as home base for the Freedom Fighters, which he's totally okay with since, in his words, "It's nice to see the place full of energy for a change." Due to his deep love for Akihabara -- spurred by his deep love for the subcultures Akihabara represents -- he takes a vested interest in Nanashi's well-being and does everything he can to help him out.
Etymology[]
- The name Kihachi means "joy, rejoice, take pleasure in" (喜) (ki) and "eight" (八) (hachi).
- Kihachi's surname Sugiyama means "cedar" (杉) (sugi) and "mountain, hill" (山) (yama).
