Main Missions

Freedom Fighters

Client: Satoko Mido

Mission: Satoko Mido sent you an email. She wants you to come to the Freedom Fighters' Base on Back Street. Leave the station, open up the Akihabara map, and head towards Back Street to meet her.

History: You rejoined the self-styled Akiba Freedom Fighters at the Freedom Fighters' base. Yatabe seems to know everything about Akihabara. Gon is an idol photo maniac. Nobu loves 2D and only 2D. And finally, there's Sara, the mysterious and charismatic maid. They're an eclectic bunch for sure. Work alongside them and protect the peace of Akihabara.

Meet-Up

Client: Satoko Mido

Mission: Satoko Mido says if you’re going to work in this business, you’ll need to learn the ropes. Head to the front of the station and kill time until she gets there.

History: A superhuman stranger tried to kill you. Luckily, Satoko Mido jumped in, fought him for you, and turned him and his friends to dust. She wants to have you trained to do the same.

They Call Her the Stripmaster

(Arena Unlocked)

Client: Satoko Mido

Mission: Head for the rooftop and learn the basics of stripping from the Master.

History: The Master has taught you the basics. Wear down the opponent’s clothing, then rip it off. Certain types of clothing need advanced training before you can properly strip them. Mido and the Master seem to have a pretty intense master-student relationship, but you’re better off not prodding about that.

Return to Base

Mission: Mido’s texted you, saying she wants to test your skills in real combat. Head for the Freedom Fighters’ base on Back Street. You might want to prepare first.

History: Once you returned to the Freedom Fighters' base, Mido gave you the Mirror Snap, a scanner for Shadow Souls.

Chasing Shadows

Client: Satoko Mido

Mission: Three Shadow Souls are apparently lurking near the Freedom Fighters' base on Back Street. Use the Mirror Snap to expose the Shadow Souls, by observing which people show up "invisible" on camera. Once you've spotted them, move in and strike first.

History: With the help of the Mirror Snap, you won your first Shadow Soul fight. Are you an elite agent yet?

Hunting for Henchmen

Accepting Side Jobs - The Info Broker on the Back Street is a broker for various clients. If regular NIRO missions are leaving you short on cash, then go see what "special" jobs he can give you.

New Side Missions:

Client: Satoko Mido

Mission: If you want a shot a Yu Abeno, you'll have to start with his henchmen and work your way up. Satoko Mido has sent you out after them. Search SW Main Street and the front of the station. Use the Mirror Snap, find them, and eliminate them.

History: You've beaten Yu Abeno's henchmen. That should weaken his position and help to draw him out. The ball's in his court now...

Draw Out Yu Abeno

Mission: Yu Abeno has been spotted at UD+. But after the attack on his henchmen, he's cautious and won't come outdoors. It might be a long shot, but if you dress like one of his men, you might be able to lower his guard.

• Male Character: His henchmen had headphones and vests like musicians...
• Female Character: His henchmen had headphones and vests like musicians, but the vests would look tacky on you. Just wear the headphones.

History: Your disguise fooled Yu Abeno into taking the bait. You beat him in a fight, but he escaped. No doubt you'll be seeing him again soon...

Crowd Control

• New Side Missions:

Mission:

1. Sara's called a meeting on SW Main Street, ASAP. There's a mob causing trouble in front of the shop, and she thinks it's going to get worse. Time to step up and be a Freedom Fighter.
2. Good work quelling the riot. As it ended, you saw that black-haired girl heading towards NW Main Street.
3. Sara says she expects chaos at the NW Main Street shops. Find any Shadow Souls instigating the crowd and eliminate them.

History: You stopped the disturbance at NW Main Street by exposing the instigating Shadow Soul, who was posing as a human in the crowd.

After the Black-Haired Girl

Mission: You spotted that black-haired girl, but then lost her again. She looked like she was headed toward the park. You...might want to prep before you go after her.

History: At the park, you finally got a good look at the black-haired girl, AKA Rui Fumizuki, and her friend. It turned into a fight, which ended with you surviving, the two girls running, and Satoko Mido going after them. That may not be the last you see of them...

The Master's Teachings

History: The Master has asked you to perform a task.

The Search for Cindy

Client: Master

Mission:

1. To properly strip a schoolgirl's uniform, you'll need to understand what makes those uniforms charming. Study a Cindy-brand uniform, the trendiest uniform around. It's being sold...somewhere in Akihabara. Yatabe might know something about it.
2. Yatabe says someone who used to move Cindy merchandise might be out near the park right now. Ask him about "Cindy" multiple times and he'll eventually let you buy the outfit.
   • If you pay 10,000 Yen for the Cindy outfit, you'll achieve the nickname "Enabler".
3. You found someone who looked like the Cindy dealer in the park, but he didn't seem to know anything. Try checking back in with Yatabe.
4. You finally found the Cindy dealer, but the price he quoted you was pretty steep. Maybe you can barter with him...
5. You've got the Cindy uniform all the hardcore collectors are drooling for, but you don't have anyone to wear it for you. Come to think of it, what's your sister up to?
6. Your sister put on the Cindy uniform and helped you understand the charm of schoolgirls. Head back to the Master on the rooftop.

History: You found the Cindy uniform, learned the charm of schoolgirls, learned how to strip schoolgirls' uniforms off, and learned how to change your sister's clothes. Day well spent.

SG-Veto

Client: Satoko Mido

Mission:

1. You've gotten a tip about some Shadow Souls spotted in front of the station. Time to put that new training to good use.
2. SGV isn't coming out yet, but she might if she sees you wearing a suit. There's a store specializing in suits on SE Main Street.

Note: Sejima's Coat and Slacks also meet this requirement

History: You defeated SGV and her clique.

History: The side mission was a trap. Yu Abeno and Chief came after you, but you fought them off.

Meet-Up With Rui

Mission: You and Rui have agreed to meet at the park.

History: You learned a lot about the Shadow Souls from Rui. She's asked you to help out her faction, the Enlightened, in any way you can.

Off to NE Main Street

Client: Mido

Mission: According to Satoko Mido, Yu Abeno has been spotted on NE Main Street. Wherever he goes, violence follows, so be ready to back her up.

History: You found Satoko Mido confronting Yu Abeno on SE Main Street. As soon as you arrived, Yu Abeno ran off without a word.

History: You finished all the Master's errands.

You found the lotion, the rope, and the electric massager. Though you haven't found out what they're for...

Stop DBP's Plans

Mission: Rui has gone after DBP solo, and is headed to the secret live show being held at UD+. Join her there.

Gon has told you those tickets aren't easy to get, but apparently there's a scalper on NE Main Street who might still have some.

You’ve got a ticket. Hurry to the concert at UD+.

The concert was a big hit with the crowd. Looks like they’ll be holding a fan meet n’ greet in the park right after.

History: You fought against DBP. Despite Gon being caught in the middle of it all, you more or less came out ahead in the end.

Mission: NIRO's full forces are scouring the city for a certain Shadow Soul, Suzu Moriizumi. Your assigned post in Horin Park.

History: NIRO's search has come to an end.

Date with Rui

New Side Mission:

• Goodbye, Lady

Client: Rui

Mission: You got a text from Rui saying she wanted to see you on the rooftop.

History: You and Rui opened up to each other by playing games at the arcade. You then introduced her to the Freedom Fighters and explained the situation. After a long talk, the Freedom Fighters came to agree that their best move is to leave the base behind and start fresh somewhere else in town.

Mother Soul Arrives

Client: Mido

Mission: You got a call from Satoko Mido. Mother Soul is coming to Akihabara. Prepare however you can, then head for the station.

History: Mother Soul emerged from the station, facing off against both NIRO and her daughter.

• Coexistence/Shadow Soul: It was up to you how to end the three-way standoff: go with Mother Soul or escape with Rui.
• NIRO: Luckily, Rui's diplomatic skills have de-escalated the conflict for now, volunteering to represent the Shadow Souls in a peace talk with NIRO.

Run, Rui, Run

Mission: You rejected Mother Soul and decided to follow the path of Enlightenment. The front of the station is now a war zone. Get out while you can.

History: You eluded Mother Soul's elite Shadow Souls as well as NIRO's enhanced agents, and made it to the Akiba Freedom Fighters' new base.

The Siege of Akihabara

Mission: The entire city of Akihabara has turned into a battleground between the Shadow Souls and NIRO. The reinforced Akiba Freedom Fighters have pledged to protect the citizens from the battles and find Mother Soul. Once they pin down her location, Rui will try to negotiate peace with her.

Priority one is to back up the Freedom Fighters, who are currently struggling in seven regions of Akihabara. If you need more intel, as Yatabe on Junk Street.

Mission: Rui is heading for Mother Soul, who's in a high-rise building near UD+. Follow her, via the UD+ walkway, and do your part to end the war in Akihabara.

Yu Abeno was waiting for you at UD+. You defeated him and settled the score. Use the UD+ walkway to access the high-rise building and get to Rui and Mother Soul.

"My sources have been telling me a lot about you lately. You've made some splendid contributions to otaku society, even if you had to skip cram school to do it. I love young people like you, who have a bright future ahead of them.

"So I'd like to reward you for all your hard work. I've given this some thought, and, well, you do like maids, don't you? Oh, why am I even asking? All otaku like maids.

"Well, I can have you drowning in maids. All 30 of my own personal maids will serve you for an entire day, as a special 'thank you' for everything you've done.

"Now, please don't be late to the party. My maids will be waiting for you at UD+."

History: You played strip tag with the maid army. Some days, it's good to be an otaku.

The client, a mysterious gentleman, is seeking a photo of Rui. You might find her on Junk Street, but you'll probably have to take the photo on the sly.

History: You delivered the photo of Rui to the mysterious gentleman. He seemed to have some sort of relationship with Rui, but you got the impression it was none of your business.

History: You knocked out Mido. She'll be out of commission until the battle's over.

Mission: The Shadow Soul base is under attack. Head inside as quickly as possible.

Shadow Soul Side Missions

Cherry Strikes Back

• Client: Mother Soul
• Group: Shadow Souls
• Reward: 75,000 Yen
• Difficulty: 7 stars

"I want you to bring down a certain nymphomaniac. She has her hunting grounds on Junk Street.

"Are you familiar with the latest urban legend? Pedestrians in Akihabara often encounter this young woman, who asks them whether they're virgins or not. If they answer yes, she attacks them and takes their virginity. The legend is entirely true; some of our kind fall to agents, others to her, as her frenzied attacks leave them exposed to sunlight. At least they perish with their purity intact, but regardless, we must take action. This 'virgin hunter' is highly skilled and has eluded all attempts to capture her thus far. For the sake of Akihabara and our people, I call on you to halt her terrible rampage."

History: You've brought down the target. Go claim your reward from the Info Broker.

Forgive Us Our Debts

• Client: Muchiya
• Group: Shadow Souls
• Reward: 30,000 Yen and the ability to strip Loan Sharks.
• Difficulty: 4 stars

Go meet with the client, Muchitani. He's at the Shadow Souls' base.

Eliminate all the loan sharks staking out the front of the station. They only show up when people are in debt, so you'll have to put yourself in the red somehow...

Note: To have a negative balance, try to spend as much money as you can when the amount is close to $0 before proceeding to these options below:

• During the Main Mission: Date with Rui, 300 Yen will be spent for every game of Samurai Kitchen and the crane machines that you can spend up to 3,000 Yen if you choose the option "Damn straight. I got your back!"
• You can purposely go into debt by talking to Artlien at Akihabara Station Front before completing Date with Rui. She doesn't spawn after the mission is completed.
• Get arrested by attacking citizens in the officers view or attacking officers and pay the fine, but arrests are permanently recorded on your character.

You eliminated all the loan sharks. Report to the client at the Shadow Souls base.

History: The loan sharks, with their habits of literally taking the shirts off delinquent debtors' backs, were a threat to the Shadow Souls' safety. Now they're gone, thanks to you.

Let's Go Hunting

Note: This side mission becomes available by talking to Yu Abeno and is repeatable. Completing this side mission at least once will allow Yu Abeno to join the fight against the enhanced agents during the Shadow Soul Main Mission: Agent Upgrades.

• Reward: 30,000 Yen

There are 30 agents gathering in the park. Work with Yu Abeno to spring an ambush and take them all out.

You've taken out all the agents. Go claim your reward from Yu Abeno. He should be at the park.

History: You ambushed the agents and took them out. But there'll be more of them before you know it. Will this war ever end?

The Glory of Victory

• Client: Ashiya
• Group: Akihabara Residents
• Reward: 30,000 Yen
• Difficulty: 5 stars

"The target is a man named Yasumura. He likes to walk though the park. I want you to either destroy what he's wearing or steal it.

He and I are cosplayers. Archrivals, who battle though every competition to determine the grand champion. As it happens, there's a holiday competition approaching. My cosplay is 90% complete, and once I finish these blasted arms, I expect to take the cup, even with Yasumura there. But I want to be sure. My spies tell me his cosplay for this competition is, and I quote, 'otherworldly.' Destroy it, and remove him from my path to victory."

You've eliminated the target's cosplay. Go claim your reward from the Info Broker.

History: You've destroyed Yasumura's cosplay outfit. He probably would have won with it. Good for your client. Good for you.

NIRO Main Missions

Broken Peace

Client: Mido

Mission:

• Yu Abeno crashed the "peace talk" and ran off with Rui toward Main Street. With their heading unknown, you'll have to defeat the Shadow Souls in each area of Main Street to cut off all possible exits. (Shadow Souls are found in NE and SE Main Streets)
• According to a text from Satoko Mido, someone saw Rui Fumizuki and Yu Abeno heading southwest on Main Street.
• Rui Fumizuki and Yu Abeno were just spotted heading northwest on Main Street.

History: Yu Abeno crashed the "peace talk" and ran off with Rui. You went after both of them, and beat Yu Abeno in a fight, but Rui got away.

Meeting Up with Sejima

Client: Mido

Mission: Sejima is already heading towards the Shadow Soul base at UD+. Catch up with him.

History: UD+ has turned into a battlefield. Upon meeting up with Sejima, you've been ordered to capture Rui, who's at large somewhere in town.

Find Rui

Client: Sejima

Mission: Chief, Rui's guardian, is hunting for you. Expect a fight in your very near future.

Rui has been spotted at the park. Is it too late to change her fate...?

NIRO Side Missions

Bear Patrol

• Client: Mido
• Group: NIRO
• Reward: 30K Yen
• Difficulty: 5

Mission: "Hello. It's me.

"Just now, we got an actual, and I quote, 'bear warning' in Akihabara. I want you to fight those bears and keep them from harming any residents.

"Why they're here, I couldn't say. Is the population density of otaku creating some kind of warming trend? Regardless, we can't have bears running around the city, or everyone's going to lock their doors and never come out. ...Which could mean the Shadow Souls are involved somehow.

"...In fact, that tracks with a message we intercepted from them the other day, about an 'Operation Outside Threat.' For all we know, the bears themselves could be Shadow Souls. In bear suits.

"There's a group of them gathering in the park right now. Go bring us back some bear meat."

History: The bears were indeed Shadow Souls in disguise. They bared their teeth, but as they were bearing down on you, you barely managed to strip them bare. They must have been unbearably embarrassed.

I Am the Claw

• Reward: 30,000 Yen
• Difficulty: 5 stars

"I'm rivals with a certain Shadow Soul.

"But he figured out my weakness: lack of stamina. All he has to do is lure me into a drawn-out battle, and I always end up on the ropes.

"So to hell with pride, and to hell with honor. I'll do whatever it takes to beat him. Even if that means having you beat him for me.

"I've called him out to a fight on the rooftop. The rest is all you."

History: You defeated some random dude's rival. Even by Akiba standards, that outfit of his was something else. In retrospect, he might've been an old man in a Shadow Soul costume...

Vamp Service

Mission: "Defeat a Shadow Soul impersonating a maid. The target has been known to show herself on Main Street SE.

"Several male customers at a certain maid cafe have turned up anemic and confused in the past few days. From what we've been able to investigate, the evidence points to a single maid at that cafe. Apparently, her MO is to lure male customers close with her friendly charm, then suck them into unconsciousness. We can't allower a vampiric maid to toy with a man's dreams. With your knowledge of Akihabara maid culture, we're counting on you to find her and take her out."
